"BECAUSE WE SEE FOOD IN ART AND ART IN FOOD"

PARIS FOOD ART WEEK

Curated by Tainá Guedes/ Entretempo Kitchen Gallery

16th to 18th September 2016 | At FREEGAN PONY

"BECAUSE WE SEE FOOD IN ART AND ART IN FOOD"

The Paris Food Art Weekend, curated by Tainá Guedes/ Entretempo Kitchen Gallery, is the first ever festival of food and contemporary art in Paris and will take place at one main location, FREEGAN PONY during the weekend of 16-18 of September and in different locations around Paris during the following week. The Paris Week is on the heels of a successful Food Week in Berlin. In Berlin the event gathered 100+ media articles and Paris promises to be an equal success. We have a special focus on food sustainibility and food waste, which are both major public issues in France right now.

Over 20 exciting events, exhibitions, performances, dining experiences and workshops will gather with famous, as well as young and upcoming artists. For a whole weekend the visitors will have the opportunity to discover the intersection between the wide panorama of modern and contemporary art and the increasingly popular (healthy) food culture in Paris. Through performances, dining events and exhibitions the festival will aim to show to Paris's public how food can be the medium of artworks and how it can create the dialog between the thoughts and the emotions. The Paris Food Art Week focuses on discovering the different connections between art and food by exploring the worlds of design, photography, collages, performances, food experiences and books related to this topic.

Some of the artists, chefs and collaborators that will cook, create and exhibit at the PFAW are Uli Westphal, Bonnie Tchien Hy, Freegan Poney, Eszter Imre, Jean Paul Ganem, Nicolas Baby, Karim Chrobog, Jonathan Staav, Ines Lechleitner, Lei Saito, Nicolas Jardry, Céline Pelcé, Dimitry Hlinka, Corinne Fhima, Transignum, Jorge Chamorro, Victor Remere, Lynn Peemoeller, Iva Radivojevic, Irvin Annex, Mathias Mangin, Jonas Parienté, Chaï Chaï Films, Iara and Tainá Guedes, Alexandre Bailly, Naoko Yasukochi, Kathrin Koschitzki / Photisserie, Colette, Studio Furious, Le Gavroches, Marie-Laure Brochard, Hope Café, Restaurant L'Arbre Jaune, Mordu, Jasmine Guffond and many others.
