Individual artists, artist collectives, Chefs, activists are eligible to apply with artworks, performances, public art happenings, events that addresses socio-political-environmental issues related to our year's topic "SUGAR".

How does sugar affects our health?
Sugar is often related to the feminin, sweetness, kindness, love, childhood. What kind of emotional relations do we have with sugar?
Sugar, necessity and addiction
Chefs challenge: Our body needs sugar. What are the alternatives for the white, industrial sugar? Is it possible to make beautiful and tasty food sculptures without industrial sugar? 

We want to address with the selected artists and venues, different artistic perspectives - often humorous, provocative, controversial, informative, narrative, playful, empathetic, surprising and more.

Who can apply ?

Artists, designers, photographers, creatives, activists, Collectives, Chefs, Restaurants, Cafes, Galleries, Museums, Art spaces, and more.

How to apply ?

Send us an email with your proposal to info@foodartweek.com your email should content:

1. Proposal (one page maximum)
2. 3 works that are food and/or art related OR a letter of intention
3. CV
4. Pictures in Jpg of the artwork or performance (if applicable)
5. Pictures of you

6. Information about your work: Tittle, Name of the artists, Measurements, Material, Year and Price

What we offer ?

* You are joining an art festival, addressing socio-political-environmental issues. It is not a commercial festival and it is not about making money.
* If you are already working in the fields of food and art it is your chance to highlight your activities and get involved in a global movement.
* Once your application gets approved, we will add you in our program.
* We will do our best to promote your event, and hope you will do the same.
* We don’t pay the production of artworks.
* We don’t pay travel expenses.
* We can’t guarantee the press will write about your participation.

What you need to know ?

* Artists need to be able to delivery and pick up their artworks
* Artists need to be able to install their artworks
* Artists pay for the production of their artworks
* Your participation is free of charge for you
* You pay for your travel expenses

All :

* We request you to sign a participation agreement
* We request you to sign an authorization of use of your image and voice
* You can charge entrance for your activity to pay your costs, if approved by the organization. A percentage might be added to FAW

Galleries, Art spaces, Museums, other Institutions:

* We request you to sign a participation agreement
* You need to delivery us pictures of the space and of the event you are doing for FAW
* We request you to sign an authorization of use of images
* The space needs to be able to pay for its activity, exhibition, performance, etc
* You can charge a fee for your audience to pay your costs
* You need to promote the event at your website, facebook and social media
* In case we have a Sponsor, we might ask you to have their product at your location
* You need to delivery us all information about your event until the deadline stipulated, otherwise we can’t promise your event is going to be promoted
* It is your event, we can’t guarantee people will come
* You need to have at least one person in charge of our event at the location

Restaurants and Cafés:

* We request you to sign a participation agreement
* You need to deliver pictures of the space and of the event you are doing for FAW
* We request you to sign an authorization of use of images
* The space needs to be able to pay for its activity, exhibition, performance, etc
* You can charge a fee for your audience to pay your costs, a % should be designated to the Food Art Week 
* You need to promote the event at your website, facebook and social media
* In case we have a Sponsor, we might ask you to have their product at your location
* You need to deliver all information about your event until the deadline stipulated, otherwise we can’t promise your event is going to be promoted
* It is your event, we can’t guarantee people will come
* You need to have at least one person in charge of our event at the Location
